Scuba Diving in the Cayman Islands

What can we say about diving in the Cayman Island but Amazing and Fantastic!

Cayman has been voted as one of the top dive destinations in the world! With Spectacular wall dives, beautiful reefs and visibility of over 100ft in crystal clear blue waters of 80-85F 25-30C water. What is there not to love?

With fabulous diving all around the islands each dive site has such different topography and structures from the next. Plunging Wall dives to 6000 ft/2000m for sheer drops into the abyss or sloping walls with tunnels and caverns. Even wreck dives and shallow reef dives just moments away. With our fast boat you are at the farthest dive site in under 15 minutes! Each side of the island is completely different from the next you will not get bored!

The West Side is located on Seven Mile Beach. The seas are so calm on the west that it is like diving in a bath tub! Did we mention it is about that warm too! This is where you will find the wreck of the Doc Polson, ORO Verde Wreck, the famous Big Tunnels , Trinity Caves and Orange Canyon dive sites too! Top of the west wall is between 40 – 60ft. On the shallow sites there are a multitude of species of colourful fish and soft corals that you will want to have a camera for. It is a great place to spot that turtle swimming by.

The North Side is located on the windward side, so not as flat seas as the West but this is where the sheer walls drop into the deep blue. It looks amazing, especially if you are lucky to see a Manta ray, Eagle ray or maybe a Hammerhead or Reef shark passing by. Great sites to dive are Eagle Ray Pass, Tarpon Alley, White Stoke Canyon and of course Stingray City!

The South Side we tend to dive when weather permits. The wall sites are deep and the shallow dive sites are absolutely amazing! More of the hard corals (brain corals and Elkhorn coral) are located in the South but you will still find anemones and sea fans as well as blennies and gobies by the dozen! With huge walls of corals creating ravines and arch ways that you can swim through, you will find lobsters, crabs and all the critters you can think of. Our most popular sites in the south are Kent’s Caves, Red Bay Caves, Bullwinkle and Japanese gardens.

You will want to dive as much as you can to take it all in! This is why we have divers that have been coming to Cayman to dive again and again! So much to see, So little time!
